Our promise in plain language: A child never needs to provide an email address, home address, phone number, last name, or school to write to Santa. Santa-letter contents are used to create the reply and are not intentionally saved, published, or sold.

Who operates this site

A Letter 4 Santa is operated by Brenash-Derian. This policy explains the information practices for aletter4santa.com.

Information entered in a Santa letter

The letter activity asks for a first name or nickname, a Christmas wish, and optional answers about something kind the visitor did and something the visitor is working on. These answers are sent to our server only so it can assemble an immediate, prewritten Santa reply.

• The letter does not require an account, email address, home address, phone number, last name, or school.
• The letter and reply are not intentionally written to a database or file, posted publicly, or used for advertising.
• The name shown on Santa's List is displayed privately in the visitor's own browser session.

Visitors should not place personal contact information or other identifying details in any letter field. If a child enters such information despite these instructions, it is handled only as part of the temporary reply process described above.

Technical and usage information

Like most websites, our web host and service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, date and time, referring page, and diagnostic or security information. Ordinary server logs may be retained by the hosting provider for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Statcounter to understand broad site activity, such as which pages are visited, what types of devices are used, and whether site features work properly. These services may use cookies or similar identifiers and may process IP-derived approximate location, browser, device, and usage information.

Google advertising signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our Analytics implementation. We do not send Santa-letter answers to either analytics service.

Advertising

Some pages contain manually placed advertisements supplied by Google AdSense. We mark our AdSense requests for child age treatment and disable ad personalization. This is intended to prevent interest-based advertising and remarketing on this child-directed site. Google may still process limited technical information for contextual advertising, fraud prevention, frequency limits, reporting, security, and legal compliance. Santa-letter answers are not used to choose advertisements.

Third-party games

The Elf Arcade includes games provided through GameDistribution, an Azerion company. A GameDistribution game is not loaded until a visitor chooses a game. Once loaded, the game runs inside a third-party frame and GameDistribution, the game developer, and their service or advertising partners may process technical and game-usage information, use cookies or similar technologies, and display advertising under their own policies. We do not receive a child's Santa-letter answers through the game frame.

Families should review the GameDistribution end-user privacy notice. Leaving or interacting with an embedded game may be governed by that provider's terms and privacy choices.

Links to other sites

The site may link to external services, including our Facebook page. A link does not give that service access to Santa-letter answers. If a visitor follows an outside link, the other service's privacy policy applies.

Children's privacy and parent choices

This site is designed for children and families. We intentionally minimize the information requested from children and do not offer public profiles, messaging, account registration, or publication of letters. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask questions about these practices or request review or deletion of information under our control. Because Santa-letter contents are not intentionally retained, we may have no stored letter to locate or delete.

Third-party providers control information processed directly by their services. We will help identify the appropriate provider and privacy contact when reasonably possible.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Santa-letter contents are designed to disappear after the reply is generated. Technical logs and analytics information may be retained for the periods established in our service settings or by the relevant provider for operations, security, reporting, and legal obligations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the site, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a material change is made.
